How to take back up of files easily :-  There are lots of files in your computer, you connect many devices like Smartphone, laptop, digital camera and copy files from them to your computer. Sometime you want to keep a back up of files from other device, or you want to put both the devices exactly in sync. For this, you manually copy-cut-past files between two devices. This is very hard and time consuming. But now there is a better and easy way to do this with Microsoft’s free power toy called sync toy.

Microsoft’s sync toy is a free application utility for synchronization of files and folders between two locations. You can share files and take back up of files and folders. It can handle multiple set of folders.   Download it from here

After download and install, the program will ask you to make a pair of folders For synchronization you have to choose to location for sync.  It gives you three option; Synchronize, Echo, Contribute. if you want to take back up of your files in your pen drive / usb flash drive make a folder in it . and sync it with folder in your computer.

Synchronize: New and updated files are copied both ways. Renames and deletes on either side are repeated on the other. Thus both the folder becomes exact sync copies of each other.

Echo: New and updated files are copied left to right. Renames and deletes on the left are repeated on the right.

Contribute: New and updated files are copied left to right. Renames on the left are repeated on the right. No deletions.

You can make multiple pairs of folders as per your requirement and sync them.
