survival story :- Did you heard the amazing weird survival story of a Nigerian cook on a tugboad, who spent 72 hours without food, water and light in a sunken tugboat alone in the dark? Harrison Odjegba Okene was doing his job as a cook on a small tugboat along with 12 other crew members. Their tugboat was pulling an oil tanker. Then, on May 26, 2013 at 4:30 am a giant sea wave struck the tugboat and it turned the poor tugboat upside down and sank it 100 feet (30 meters) under the sea.

The crew members had locked themselves in their cabin, a way of safety from possible pirate attack. Sadly they all died in their locked cabins, as water came. Harison had the habit to rise early, so he was in the bathroom at the time of sinking the boat. When cold sea water started filling in, he crawled in to another bathroom in his half paints. There he found a little air pocket in attached room, formed due to turning the boat upside down.

3 Days under the sea

He spent almost 3 days without food, water and light. The seawater was so freezing and salty that it pealed of his tongue skin. With oxygen level going down with every breath, he lost all hope and crying and praying to God.

A alive hand in dead cold sea

Nearly after 3 days, when a team of scuba divers found the boat and collecting the dead bodies, suddenly to their horrific surprise, a alive hand came from the dark and dull water and grabbed the hand of rescue diver (you can see this moment in a you tube Video). The equally amazed rescue diver assured the Harison and pet on his shoulder. Harison spend 60 hours in decompressing chamber after rescue.
